Fans of the blockbuster home renovation series The Block have a rare chance to own one of the exclusive Sydney homes featured on the show.
A home in the blue ribbon Eastern Suburbs locale of Vaucluse, that featured in the ultra successful return of the show in 2010, has hit the market.

After a six year hiatus, the Channel 9 show returned with a bang in September 2010 to firmly establish itself as a free-to-air ratings juggernaut.
One of the apartments that featured in that series, 2/107 New South Head Road, Vaucluse is for sale with a price guide of $1.8 million.
It been listed by sales agent Brad Caldwell-Eyles of 1st City.
“Situated quietly at the rear of a stylish collection of four apartments, this ground floor apartment blends innovative design with quality appointments to create a house-like designer haven,” the listing reads.
Ten years on, the unit block still looks great.
It is situated in the blue ribbon Sydney suburb of Vaucluse at 2/107 New South Head Road.
The apartment was renovated by Mark Bowyer and Duncan Miller.

The apartment for sale is Mark and Duncan’s (aka ‘the fat tradies’) unit.
Of the 16 seasons of The Block (including this year) only four have featured in Sydney. The Vaucluse address was followed by one in Bondi in 2013 but since then the show has only been shot in Melbourne, largely due to the high prices of real estate in the Harbour City.
The 2010 was the first in which Scott Cam, who replaced Jamie Durie, starred as host. Cam grew up only blocks from where the 2010 series was filmed.

That year was also well known for starring property guru John McGrath as one of the judges.
The 2010 series featured seven room reveals with Erin and Jake prevailing for their main bathroom, guest room, laundry and kitchen reveals.
However on auction day, John and Neisha Pitt did best, claiming a profit of $205,000, for their home which sold for $1.105m, and the $100,000 first prize.

Chez and Brenton sold their apartment post-auction for $970,000, after it was passed in, for a $90,000 profit. Erin and Jake took home $87,500, after getting $997,500 for their unit, while Mark and Duncan took home $47,000 after a sale of $907,000.
The auctions enjoyed a combined profit of $339,500.
During the open home inspections, hundreds of fans of the show and serious buyers lined up around the block to have a look.

Each of the nine episodes of the series drew in more than 1.2 million viewers nationally. The grand finale pulled more than 1.7 million viewers.
The nearby area has changed significantly since season three. At the time the abandoned Vaucluse High School sat directly behind the block renovated for the show.
A high quality retirement home, built by the well-known Moran company now sits on the site.
Mark and Duncan also featured on the 2013 series of The Block filmed in Bondi.
